How does Courtesy Ford protect my personal information?
To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
How does Courtesy Ford collect my personal information?
We collect your personal information when you:
- Apply for financing or a lease
- Call, email, chat or text us
- Visit our website or scan your driver’s license
- We may also collect information from credit bureaus, affiliates, cookies, and/or other companies
Why can’t I limit all sharing?
Federal law gives you the right to limit only:
- Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
- Affiliates from using your information to market to you
- Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you
State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.
What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?
We will limit sharing of your personal data or account specifics. However, we may continue to share marketable data on the joint participant.
Definitions
Affiliates: Companies related by common ownership or control. These may include:
- Cornhusker Auto Center, Inc
- Cornhusker Nissan of Norfolk
- Courtesy Ford of Norfolk, Inc
Nonaffiliates: Companies not related by common ownership or control, such as:
- OEMs (Stellantis, Ford, NNA)
- Marketing and Data Tools (Foureyes, Data Driven Holdings, Team Velocity, CallRevu)
- Finance Sources (Sunbit, Ally, FNBO, American National, FMC, NMAC)
Joint Marketing: A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Examples include: Stellantis, NMAC, Ford Direct, Ally
Other Important Information
We work with FordDirect to provide advertising and related services and analytics. This includes, but is not limited to, the deployment of tracking technologies on our properties that collect and provide information about you to FordDirect or the provision of your name, email address, and other contact details to FordDirect, including for advertising and analytics. To the extent we disclose information to FordDirect, they may use it in accordance with their own privacy statement.
